Bettavend Supports Green Island Holiday Trust’s 10th Charity Golf Day

Once again Bettavend pitched in with chocolate bars to help keep golfers swinging their clubs at Green Island Holiday Trust’s 10th Charity Golf Day, held at Bramshaw Golf Club, 10 September.

All for a good cause, of course, as Green Island Holiday Trust provides cottage vacations for disabled people of Dorset and Hampshire, in the grounds of Holton Lee, a 350-acre country setting between Poole and Wareham.

Teeing off at 12 noon, the golfers tackled 18 holes on a testing, mature grassland course. With the calories from the coffee and bacon bap power breakfast soon burned off, our chocolate bars saved the day—just the sugar rush needed to drive the golfers past the last hole… and onto the chef’s buffet!

There’s no doubt that our sweet contribution helped fuel energy and funds, as Fundraising Chairman and Trustee, Di Scupholme, comments:

“A huge thank you for your support by providing Chocolate Bars for the
golfers at our 10th Golf Challenge this year on 10th September at Bramshaw Golf Club.

“We wouldn’t be able to carry on raising money in this way without so much support and this year’s total of over £11,500 was amazing.  As this was our tenth Golf Day it was just great to be able to tell you that over those ten years we have raised over £100,000 for the Charity. “

You’re welcome, Di—and we look forward to supporting Green Island Holiday Trust ‘s Charity Golf Day 2019!
